Decoilers
We design and produce decoilers or so called uncoilers with different capacities. Decoiler machine ranges start from 500 kg weight up to 20 ton coil. The thickness of coil material can be between 0,5 – 6,0 mm. The enterprises who use coil material as a start off material, need the equipment for decoiling the coil. Whether they have roll forming, stamping, or slitting lines, an uncoiler is necessary to unroll the coil for the next process. In other words, there is no other way to do it.
Choosing the Right Decoilers
We offer a variety of options to ensure the optimal coil handling process. In order to provide the appropriate decoiler machine, the customer has to advise the coil characteristics. For example, the weight of the coil, inner diameter and outer diameter of coil, width and thickness of coil. We also need to know which material will be used. It is important to mention, whether the coil is prepainted, galvanized, or stainless steel.
Uncoilers with the coil weight of 500 kg – 3000 kg are usually have a manual (mechanical) expansion system of mandrel. Starting from 4 ton weight, all decoiler machines have the hydraulic (automatic) expanding system of mandrel.
Coil Loading Cars
It is difficult and unsafe to load and unload the heavy coils during the production. For this reason, we provide coil loading car or device for loading and unloading of the coil in automatic way. The coil loading cart is driven by hydraulic and working on the railway. It has special features to prevent tipping of the coil.
In addition to standard uncoilers, we also supply double-ended uncoilers (or double head decoiler). Double head decoilers can reduce material handling time substantially. Having two mandrels allows the operator to keep the second coil ready on the machine. This is especially helpful in situations where the time is essential.
Coil Weight
Decoiler coil weights start with 500 kg and can be as high as 20 tons. We call uncoilers with less than 3 ton coil weight, mechanical decoilers. Because the expanding system (coil inner tighting system) is mechanical or manual in these machines. Starting from 3000 kg, all decoilers have hydraulic expanding mandrel. Therefore we call them hydraulic decoilers.
Coil Loading & Unloading
The coil loading and unloading process have to be easy and safe. Therefore, we provide coil loading car or device for the decoilers with more than 4 ton coil weight. Coil loading cars are working automatically with hydraulic system.
Coil Sizes
Coil thickness can be as less as 0,2 mm up to 6 mm maximum. For aluminum and light steel material, higher thicknesses are also possible.
Width of the coil material starts from 30 mm and goes up to 1600 mm.
Coil inner diamater can be different according to customer requirement. We produce decoilers for the coils with inner diamater of 300-550 mm, 350-550 mm, 400-550 mm and 450-550 mm.
Outer diameter of the coil is maximum 1600 mm. For the higher outer diameters a different system can be designed.
Other Features
Our heavy decoilers are equipped with the hold down arm in order to keep the coil tight during the uncoiling process. Hold up arm is also available for the thick materials. Additionally, the decoilers have break system, to avoid the loosenes of the coil material. For this purpose, we add also loop control device which is placed just under the coil.
